This Indenture, made and entered into this twenty fourth
day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty two by and between Nelson
G Crawford and Martha Crawford his wife of the County
of Warren and State of Indiana the parties of the first
part, and Harrison Goodwine of the County of Warren and
State of Indiana the party of the second part witnesseth that
the said parties of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of eight hundred and fifty dollars, to them
in hand paid, try the said party of the second part, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
sold aliened released conveyed and confirmed, and by
these presents do, grant, bargain, sell alien, release
convey and confirm unto the said party of the second
part, his heirs and assigns, the following described real
estate situate lying and being in the county of Warren
and State of Indiana known and designated as follows,
to wit, the South East quarter of Section Number Nineteen
(19) in Township Number Twenty three (23) North of Range
Nine (9) West containing one hundred and sixty
acres, more or less, to have and to hold said land and
premises, with all the appurtenances, there unto
belonging, or in any wise appertaining unto the
said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever, and the said parties of the first part
for themselves, and their heirs do covenant, to
and with the said party of the second part, his
heirs, and assigns, that they are lawfully seized
of the premises aforesaid, that the same are
free from all incumbrances whatever, that
they will warrant and defend, the said premises
with the appurtenances, unto the said party of
the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the
lawful claim or claims of themselves and their
Heirs, Executors, and administrators or any other
person or persons, claiming or to claim title to the
same or any part thereof whatsoever.
In Testimony whereof, the said Nelson G Crawford
and Martha Crawford the parties of the first part
have hereunto set their hands, and seals, on the
day and date first above written.

I Vincent Virgin a justice of the peace of said County
do certify that Nelson G Crawford whose signa-
ture appears to the foregoing deed, and who, is
personally known to me to be the persons who
subscribed and executed the same, did acknow-
ledge the same to be his, free act and deed for,
the uses and purposes, therein mentioned and
Martha Crawford, wife of the said Nelson G
Crawford, who is, also personally known to me
and whose signature also appears to said Deed
having been by me made acquainted with the
contents and meaning thereof, and examined
privately separate apart from and without the
hearing of her said husband, acknowledged that
she executed the same and relinquished her right
of dower, in the premises therein conveyed, vol-
untarily, freely and without coercion or compul-
sion of her said husband,
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand
