Arthur R. Hartter of Sabetha First to Army

First men to join Uncle Sam’s services through the local draft board will be Arthur R. Hartter of Sabetha. Hartter was No. 39 on the county draft order but has volunteered to go ahead of his turn. He is to report at Seneca for the early morning train next Monday, to be sent from here to the induction station at Leavenworth. Hartter fills the first Nemaha quota of one man.
In case Hartter is not accepted, next man will be Vernet Henry Randel of Corning, first man on the regular order list who is available for immediate service.
