Have you ever managed a web site? If so, you are aware of the behind the scenes work involved in managing a web site.
My first foray into site building was quite a few years ago as a teacher. That was when everything was coded by hand. While those websites don’t have the ‘look’ of today’s sites, there can be a lot of information buried in them.
That’s why I’ve saved those original HTML files and even upgraded some of them using today’s tools.
- Seneca, Kansas — based on a book written for the 125th anniversary of Seneca by my husband
- CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) — based on work by student group to create website documenting the CCC and Lake Nemaha
Over the years, I have done what I can to collect links to Nemaha County (KS) resources and indexes even though I don’t live in Nemaha County. While additional resources have been added, my website of links had not been kept up to date.
Thus, I spent this day updating websites instead of researching my genealogy. While the Nemaha County Historical Society got some minor updates, the list of resources was greatly expanded. Check out the historical and genealogical resources available for Nemaha county, Kansas.
