Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:
It’s Saturday Night again –
Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!
Come on, everybody, join in and accept the mission and execute it with precision.
1) What were your best genealogy achievements in 2023? Tell us – show us a document, or tell us a story, or display a photograph. Brag a bit! You’ve earned it!
Like, Randy Seaver of Genea-Musings, I don’t know that I’ve made many breakthroughs with my genealogical research. While I continue to look for additional records, I have already identified most of my ancestors and their families.

Thus, it is hard to make breakthroughs.
While I didn’t make any major breakthroughs, I did find additional records to support my tree. One of my favorite finds during 2023 was a poem written by my 2nd great grandfather, Washington Marion Crawford about is imprisonment during the civil war. I shared that poem in my post, My Capture and Imprisonment.
While I’m thankful I found the poem, I think my greatest achievement during 2023 was the fact that I published a blog post almost daily. As someone who did not enjoy all of those writing assignments in school, I find it amazing that I’m not only writing almost daily but sharing that writing with others. Thus, I consider my daily posting to this blog my greatest achievement of 2023.
I included my daily posts in my achievement list, too. Also like you, I am filling the the stories of my ancestors because there don’t seem to be very many left to find.
