Friday Find

Did you ever use microfilm to access county deed records? If so, do you have photocopies made from those deeds? Are they legible?

As I’m going back thru my paper documents, I have quite a few photocopies of microfilmed records. In some cases, I have a full transcription to go with those copies. In other cases, I only have sketchy notes.

HOWEVER, thanks to FamilySearch’s new Experimental Labs, I can look up those deeds and not only get a better image of the deed but also get a transcription. Today’s find is a Platte County Missourie deed for Elizabeht Burke.
