Do you ever happen upon some information that clears up a previous mystery? That was my experience as I was using local newspapers to research Raymond Woltkamp who died during World War II.
One of the articles that I found in the Sabetha Herald was an article about an Eagle Scout project. That project created the war memorial identifying war dead. That memorial is on the east side of the courthouse sign and was the source for the name, Richard Bieri. My attempt to locate information about Richard Bieri is summarized in my Negative Evidence post.
The article I located confirms that the name on the memorial should have been Harry Bieri instead of Richrd Bieri.
