Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:
It’s Saturday Night again –
Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!
Come on, everybody, join in and accept the mission and execute it with precision.
1) Do you watch YouTube videos on a regular basis? What are your favorite YouTube channels for genealogy research?
While I do watch YouTube videos, I don’t watch genealogy related ones on a regular basis. Instead, I watch them when I’m trying to learn a new skill or learn about available resources. Thus, I’m ‘searching’ for videos versus tuning in.
However, there is one ‘video’ that I try to watch live: Mondays with Myrt.

I find this panel discussion to be a fantastic way to keep abreast of new tools and procedures. I’m very thankful that ‘Dear Myrtle’ came out of retirement to bring back this resource.
At times, I watch videos by GenealogyTV or Your DNA Guide. However, I’m not a regular viewer.
Instead of videos, I tend to use blog posts and Facebook groups to stay abreast of genealogy happenings. Each morning, I open Feedly and read a variety of blog posts, sharing some of them on Twitter/X.
I guess I’m just ‘old school’ in that I prefer to read vs watch when it comes to learning.
You’re similar to me. I watch DearMyrtle and AmericanAncestors. That’s about it.
