Crawford Inventory

Today, I used the Experimental Search to look for documents with both the Crawford surname and the Duggins surname. My ancestor, James Crawford, had two step-sons: Henry Duggins and William Duggins. I was looking for documents in Virginia, Kentucky or Ohio containing the two surnames. While I had already viewed most of the results, I did find the inventory for James Crawford’s estate. I doubt I would have uncovered this document without FamilySearch’s experimental lab.

The following family members purchased items from the estate:

  • Nelson G. Crawford – son
  • Jacob Wikel – husband of granddaughter
  • Jane Duggins — likely wife of Henry J. Duggins (daughter in law) but could have been a wife of a grandson
  • Wm Duggins – likely stepson – but could have been a step grandson
  • Henry J Duggins – step grandson
  • Benjamin A. Duggins – step grandson
