Miami Valley Genealogies
Are you researching the CRAWFORD family in or near Augusta county, Virginia? If so, you might already be familiar with Alexander Crawford and his wife Mary McPheeters.
When I first started researching my Crawford line, I tried to prove a connection to Alexander and Mary. However, after a thorough investigation, I found that my ancestor, James Crawford (1772-1854) does not fit as a descendant of Alexander.
Recently, while revisiting some of my research, I uncovered photocopies from volume 2 of Miami Valley Genealogies by Lindsay Brien. This book devotes four pages to outlining the family of Ann Crawford and her sons Patrick, James, George and Alexander.

Although the information is not extensively sourced, it can still be immensely helpful when working with Crawford records from early Augusta county. The details provided might offer valuable insights and clues for researching these early Crawford families.
