Goal Setting

Have You Made Any Genealogy Resolutions for 2025?

After two years of falling short on the goals I ambitiously shared on January 1, I’ve decided to take a different approach for 2025. This year, I’m focusing on broader, more flexible goals that will still drive progress in my genealogy journey.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): I plan to continue exploring and integrating AI tools into my genealogy research, leveraging their capabilities to uncover new insights.
  • Blogging: I aim to maintain a consistent posting schedule for this blog, sharing my discoveries and experiences regularly.
  • Sharing: I want to keep sharing my research through platforms like Ancestry, WikiTree, and FamilySearch, ensuring my work is accessible and beneficial to others.
  • DNA Research: I will keep honing my skills in working with DNA results, using them to identify relationships and uncover connections with my matches.

While these goals may not meet the strict criteria of SMART goals, I can still measure my progress by tracking key metrics and milestones.

As we step into 2025, I’m excited about the possibilities these goals will bring. Here’s to another year of learning, sharing, and making meaningful genealogy discoveries!
