Last week, I accompanied my husband to Leavenworth to attend the meeting of the Henry Leavenworth Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. That night, Michael lit his lantern as an inductee and was challenged to beocme a “Rising Sun” in the Sons of the American Revolution. His ancestor was Thomas Sebring.
To my surprise, I was also recognized during the meeting. I received the “Medal of Appreciation” for my ‘outstanding service to the Sons of the American Revolution.’
