While updating the information for my ancestor, Nathaniel Hammond, I stumbled across several references to a document labeled Hammond.CT.007. When I pulled it out, I discovered it was a set of handwritten notes I had made years ago from the book Vital Records of Bolton to 1854 and Vernon to 1852.
Because these notes were created long before I began using structured research logs, I decided it was time to bring them up to date. I added the content into the RESEARCH NOTES field of my database, asked ChatGPT to create a digitized version of the transcription, and attached the resulting PDF file to the source. In the process, I also located a digital copy of the original book on FamilySearch and updated my citation to reflect its online availability.
