Digging Records Monday

Today’s record from my Briles folder is an 1846 deed from Randolph County, North Carolina, in which John Briles and his wife, Priscilla, sold a tract of land. John was the great-grandson of my ancestor, Conrad Briles, making him my third great-granduncle. This document offers another glimpse into the Briles family’s presence and property transactions in mid-19th-century Randolph County.

The details of the transaction are recorded as follows:

By updating the sources in RootsMagic and attaching this deed to John Briles on FamilySearch, I’ve added another documented link in the Briles family story. Each land transaction like this one not only helps confirm family connections but also paints a clearer picture of how the Briles descendants of Conrad Briles lived and prospered in Randolph County. Every deed deepens the roots of our family history and preserves it for future researchers.
