Happy Thanksgiving

Today is a day for family. For me, it is also a day for community.

For the past several years, I have spent the early morning of Thanksgiving helping to prepare a Community Thanksgiving in my small town of Seneca, Kansas.

For over 25 years, the Seneca United Methodist church has prepared a free thanksgiving meal where I typically worth the early shift which prepares the dressing, puts the turkey on to reheat, starts the corn and then begins packaging the pies and salads. While it is a very early morning, it is a great way to serve the community!

Later in the day, my husband and I will hopefully travel to celebrate Thanksgiving with my brother and his family. Unfortunately, the forecasted weather may not be conducive to such travel.

Some of my previous posts highlight our family thanksgivings.
