Winnie Letha (Currey) Crawford
As I continue exploring creative ways to share family history, today’s post features two special multimedia tributes to my grandmother, Winnie Letha (Currey) Crawford. Using her narrative biography, I created an audio overview in Google Notebook LM and transformed it into a video in Canva—bringing her story to life through voice, movement, and imagery.
Alongside that, I also turned the original song lyrics written about Winnie’s life into a fully produced song using Suno.com. That recording, too, found its way into Canva and became its own musical video tribute.
Both videos—one spoken, one sung—capture different shades of Winnie’s life: her strength, her challenges, her love for family, and her Kansas roots. Together, they offer a heartfelt multimedia portrait of a woman whose story continues to inspire the generations who follow her.

Winnie’s Song
Bringing Winnie Currey Crawford’s story into these new formats has reminded me how powerful it can be to blend genealogy with creativity. Whether through spoken narrative or through song, these videos offer fresh ways to honor a life that shaped so many of us. They preserve not just dates and records, but emotion, memory, and the spirit of the woman behind the name. I hope these two tributes help family members—present and future—feel a little closer to Winnie and carry her story forward in their own way.
