Be it remembered that on the
2d day of September AD 1833 there
issued from the office of the clerk of the circuit
court for said County a license to join Nelson G
Crawford to Martha Smith which license reads as
follows to wit: State of Indiana Warren County
Any person empowered by law to solemnize
marriages in said county is herby authorized
to join together as husband and wife Nelson
G Crawford and Martha Smith in testimony
whereof I James Cunningham Clerk of the
Circuit court of said county have hereunto
set my hand and affixed the seal of said
Court at Williamsport this 2d day of Septem-
ber AD 1833 James Cunningham Clerk
And afterwards to wit on the 7th day of October
AD 1833 Daniel D Hall a minister of the Gospel
returned the above license with it certificate
written thereon which reads in the words and
figures following to wit: State of Indiana Warren
County I do hereby certify that on the 3rd day
of September 1833 I joined together as husband
and wife Nelson G. Crawford and Martha Smith
both of said county witness my hand and
seal this 12th day of September 1833
