During the past year, I took on a project for the Nemaha County Historical Society to identify Nemaha countians who were awarded the Purple Heart. Using the local newspapers, I located articles mentioning over 300 people receiving the Purple Heart. The list of Purple Heart recipients includes links to blog posts about those who gave their lives during World War II. The following video honors their memory
